Qbit collects your email, the work description you type, and your career analysis results. We never sell your data. We never store your resume. You can ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing hello@tryqbit.com.
📥What we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to provide your career analysis and improve the platform:

🚫What we never collect
- Your resume file — if you upload one, it is read in your browser only and never sent to our servers.
- Passwords — Qbit has no password-based accounts. Access is email-based only.
- Payment information — all payments (when introduced) will be processed by a third-party provider. We never see your card details.
- Location data — we do not track your GPS location or IP address for profiling purposes.
- Sensitive personal data — we do not collect religion, ethnicity, health data, or government ID numbers.
⚙️How we use your data
- To provide your career analysis — your work description is sent to Google Gemini's API to extract skills and generate your readiness score.
- To send emails — welcome messages, your roadmap, and feature updates via Resend. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To improve Qbit — anonymized skill and score data helps us improve our role matching engine and skill database over time.
- To operate the referral program — we track referral codes to award program rewards accurately.
We do not use your data for advertising. Qbit does not serve ads and does not share your data with advertising networks.
🔗Third-party services
Qbit uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Google Gemini API — processes your work description text to extract skills. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
- Resend — handles all transactional email delivery. Subject to Resend's privacy policy.
- Google Sheets — stores your email, scores, and skill data in a secure Google Workspace environment.
- Google Analytics — tracks page visits and usage patterns anonymously to help us improve the product.
- Vercel — hosts the Qbit website. Subject to Vercel's privacy policy.
⚖️Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access — you can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Deletion — you can request that we delete your email and all associated data from our systems. We will do so within 7 days.
- Correction — if your data is inaccurate, you can ask us to correct it.
- Unsubscribe — you can opt out of all emails at any time by clicking Unsubscribe in any email we send, or by emailing us directly.

🔒Data security
Your data is stored in Google's infrastructure, which uses enterprise-grade encryption at rest and in transit. Access to our data is restricted to authorised team members only. We do not store passwords or payment details.
While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no internet service can guarantee 100% security. If you become aware of any security concern, please contact us immediately at hello@tryqbit.com.

Qbit uses minimal cookies. Google Analytics places anonymised tracking cookies to measure page visits. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time.
📝Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Qbit grows. When we make significant changes, we will notify users via email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Qbit after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
